The %00 Byte team from the Faculty of Information Technology and Computer Science at Yarmouk University, consisting of the students, Abdullah Al-Rashdan, Firas Al-Sarkas, Mansour Al-Hamoud and Saif Abu Ashour, won the first place in the Jordanian National Information Security Competition JORDAN INFOSEC 2019, which was organized at the Zain Innovation Platform at Yarmouk University (ZINC YU) By Technnaoui Company.
The Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology and Computer Science, Dr. Ahmed Kulaib, praised the distinguished level of the event, which witnessed an intense competition between the participating teams. He explained that the competition aims at expanding the awareness of Jordanian universities’ students and guiding them to the right path in the field of information security. Then he pointed out that the competition included several axes like penetration testing of web applications, examination of networks and service systems, decryption, programming, analysis of communications across networks, and analysis of Android programs.
