Top students of the Accounting Department in the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Yarmouk University were able to obtain ten "Certified Management Accountant (CMA)" licenses from Hawk International. Accordingly, a ceremony was held at the Al Abdali Rotana Hotel, Amman in cooperation with Sarh Al-Joman Foundation for Training, Financial, and Administrative Consultations along with the support of the American Accounting Institute (IMA). The ceremony was attended by Dr. Khaldoun Al Dawood, Mr. Fawaz Ababneh from the Accounting Department, several representatives from the Association of the Jordanian Management Accountants, representatives of the international company Wiley, and a selection of professors of Jordanian universities.
During the ceremony, Mr. Rishi Malhurta, the Director of Academic and Community Relations at the IMA Institute in the Middle East and Africa, offered scholarships to outstanding students in the Department. Al Dawood said that the scholarships were distributed among the students who are expected to graduate. However, each scholarship is worth up to $ 2,000 and includes exemption from CMA exams, membership in the American Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), and a collection of books related to the exam.
For her part, the Dean of the Faculty , Dr. Muna Mulla, praised the distinguished scientific level of the Accounting Department and the efforts exerted by its faculty members. She then stressed the need to improve the teaching process and develop the skills and abilities of graduates so that they can cope with the needs of the labor market. For his part, the head of the Accounting Department, Dr. Mohammed Al-Azzam, praised the constructive and supportive role of the university administration in providing all the means that would contribute to developing students' skills and building their personalities.
